Recently, a reknowned columnist of a Pakistani english newspaper exposed a handwritten message of the newly elected president of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari. The name of this columnist is Ardeshir Cowasjee. He claims to have visited Mazar-e-Qaid, the final resting place of founder of Pakistan Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and obtained a copy of remarks written by the un-educated president on the death anniversary of Jinnah. The message of the president of Pakistan read: "May Gaad give us give us the street to save Pakistan".
What he actually meant to say was: "May God give us the strength to save Pakistan."

How much is Zardari educated?

Asif Zaradri's educational qualification is controversial. As claimed on Wikipedia, his only qualification is High School education. Once Zardari claimed to have a Diploma from a college in London, later he had to face embarrassment because the college name he mentioned never existed. This is all that is known about the education of this president of a nuclear power.

SEE THE OTHER WAY
it doesn't matter if a person can speak good english or not; as long as he/she can speak his/her own language fluently, that's enough.............BUT....In Zardari's case, u all r neglecting one point...Okay fine if he cannot speak english, he knows Urdu and that counts but then y did he lie that he got his diploma from London bcz studying in London would have required good english???????

But the date is incorrect....
If you carefully see, the date under the signature is confusing.. It does not say 12/25/2008 which is the Quaid's day. The date shown look simething like; 11/92/2008 ??!!

Why is it important to know
Why is it important to know good English? Does not knowing proper English make a person immoral, stupid or incapable to lead a nation ? This slavish mentality of English superiority is the reason for low self esteem in all pakistanis!!!

It is important for a
It is important for a president to know English. If he (she) does not know it, he (she) better not use it. Let me give you an example here, the Japanese prime minister does not speak English at all but he has done a masters from a reliable university that includes English as well; so logically speaking, he knows it but he does not use it because he is not confident about his English. Moreover, English is not their mother language. However, I would prefer any presidential or prime minister post of any country to be able to speak/read (understand), and write (sensible) English to globally represent the nation he (she) belongs to. Well, first of all, I think the above image maybe fake but even if its legitimate, I think that president Laghari should use URDU (or even Sindhi, if he cant write Urdu) instead of writing comments in English. I, however, seen him in some of the interviews that he speaks good English with the media etc.

Absolutely right
Absolutely right, educated people use only that language that they know. An uneducated person's Urdu or Sindhi will be as funny as his English is. And by the way, it's Zardari and not Laghari that we are talking about.
English is NOT Education
English is just a tool of communication as any other language is. You don't have to be master in a foreign language to represent your country... example? Iran, Japan, China... none of their President/PM can speak English, but you know their influence! Why do we use English to express ourself while we use Urdu for thinking??

While there is no doubt about
While there is no doubt about this devil's education. What I find interesting here is why an old man like Cowasjee would go to Quaid-e-Azam's mazar to expose someone's education. It looks funny how he went there to raise a controversy.
