Osama's killing in a aplace like Abbottabad is every Pakistani's nightmare.  But what followed after that is equally disappointing for Pakistani people.

A scared, coward looking Army Chief chose not to tell any truth to the nation about what happened on 2nd May.

Instead, the lot of incompetent generals chose to put the entire blame on the civilian government particulary Zardari and his handpicked Ambassador to USA Hussain Haqqani.

No explanation about how Osama managed to hide in Abbottabad:

Pakistani people have yet to hear any kind of explanation from government or Army about how Osama could have managed to live in Abbottabad for such a long time.

This has led people to speculate Army's involvement in protecting the worthless criminal who was disowned even by his own family back in Daudi Arabia.

Appeasement as usual:

Shamefully, both the army and PPP Government have fallen back to usual appeasement of USA to free themselves of pressure arising from Osama's killing in Paksitan.

Prime Minister gave a statement in which he detailed Pakistan's sacrifices in War on Terror.

Army generals, in corpse commander's meeting, gave no credible response to USA for their violation of Pakistan's sovereignity just to save their skin from Americans.

Shame on both the army and the Government.

Turning point for army's image:

Osama's killing has been such an embarassing news for Pakistani people that even the most loyal supporters of army are beginning to think of their worthiness and credibility for Pakistan.

People are being forced to think if Pakistani army really works to protect the interest of this country or do they just fight for money only.

Pakistani army has lost a lot of repect from Pakistani people and if the army's leadership does not come clean about the deeds and mis-deeds during the War on Terror, the damage done to their credibility will be permanent!

We must make sure all these
We must make sure all these generals are held accountable for the past 10 years of their dealing with USA. These "in-camera" dramas by parliament are nothing but just a ploy to fool people that the Government is in control. Everything will be forgotten soon. The Government must do something to have some civilian control on army and keep their activities under watch.

Who is gunning for Pakistan’s top generals?
This is first time in the history of Pakistan that the Pak Military has given a chance to the civilian (elected) representatives to take charge of the country in general and the foreign policy making process in particluar. The civilians should now come up, meet the required standards and prove their worth (if they have any left) and take control of this country's reigns. So instead of asking the Generals to resign we should acknowledge the integrity displayed by them and at the same time start behaving like a responsible Nation, so that we can build the Pakistan Mr Jinnah once dreamed of.
