Mathira was until recently a little known TV host (on Vibe TV) but has become popular due to wider covergae of her bold style of dressing and speach.

While it's true that Mathira is a strange character, but it is also true that Pakistani society is an equally strange society where girls like Mathira are frowned upon by the people who don't mind watching semi-naked bollywood dances with their families.   

But no matter how infamous she has become, she has also found many fans amonst Pakistani girls.

They see her as a liberal form of female and appreciate her bravery in the male dominated society.
