Bhutto's backround:
Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was one of the by-products of General Ayub Khan's dictatorship - the first military dictatorship in Pakistan. Unlike other politicians, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's political was constantly changing colors at every major turn of events in Pakistan. He was an appeaser of President Sikandar Mirza, and then a courtesan of dictator Ayub Khan. When the tide became to turn against Ayub Khan, Bhutto also became anti-Ayub. Then after dismemberment of the country, he lost no time in aligning himself with dictator Yahya Khan. When East Pakistani's rose up for their justified rights, Bhutto was the only hurdle in fulfillment their demands. He threatened West Pakistan's members of Parliament with dire consequences if they went to East Pakistan's parliament - a threat that only a dictator can make.Bhutto's character:
Like most waderas of Pakistan, Bhutto had plenty of lust for women, alcohol and money. The infamous pimp General Rani had a very special relationship with Bhutto. General Rani describes her relationship with Yahya Khan and Bhutto in this article. Below is an excerpt from that article:"Both Mustafa Khar and Z. A. Bhutto would come and sit at my house for hours on end, begging me to introduce them to the General(Yahya Khan). Mustafa Khar was particularly fond of listening to the poems I used to write. In fact if you compare Yahya Khan to these two, I would say that I was closer to Bhutto and Khar and arranged more parties for them than I did for Agha Jani." " Bhutto got married at the age of 13, to a girl of 19. It was a forceful marriage. So he never had a normal childhood. He learned to exploit and enslave women at an early age. Bhutto then got married to a belly dancer: Nusrat Bhutto. Such was his level of sexual frustration.
The first civilian dictator to suspend constitution:
After taking over power from Yahya Khan, Bhutto became chief martial law administrator and suspended the constitution, he became the first "civilian dictator" in Pakistan's history.Bhutto's motivation for politics:
Bhutto's close associate of the time Ardeshir Cowasjee describes his conversation with Bhutto when he was not started his political career. He describes Bhutto had offered Mr. Cowasjee a partnership in politics. Bhutto told him politics was very easy in Pakistan. You fool people once, and then rule them for 20 years! Such was the caliber of the person whom some people call a leader. Shame on them! Mr. Cowasjee chose to stay away from Bhutto's politics.Brutalization of Balochistan:
For Bhutto, brutalization of Bengalis and calling them "sons of pigs" was not enough. He ordered a military operation against Balochi people who were demanding more rights. He declared those people "terrorists" and killed countless Balochis. This way Bhutto sowed the seeds of dissent in Balochistan which we continue to reap to this day.Torture of political opponents:
Bhutto had specially created prison camps where all his political opponents were kept and tortured. When General Zia took over, he took it as an opportunity to release those political prisoners and show himself as their savior to the nation.Killing of political opponents:
Bhutto killed many of his political opponents. Killing of a politician on the basis of political differences is something that even military dictators shy away from doing. But Bhutto had the guts to either order killing or issue death threats to whoever dared to differ with him on his views. The most prominent cases of people killed on Bhutto's orders were: 1.) Father of Barrister Ahmed Raza Kasuri. 2.) Father of a little known PML-N politician Khawaja Saad Rafique. Khawaja Saad Rafiq's father was killed on his tonga after Bhutto ordered it, Ahmed Raza's Kasuri's father was killed by accident in his car while police had actually tried to kill Ahmed Raza Kasuri. Ahmed Raza Kasuri took the dead body of his father to Parliament House with blood stained clothes on and vowed revenge from Bhutto. Bhutto still had no mercy on him and attempted to kill him 15 times! Luckily Mr. Kasuri survived all attempts. Such was the brutalilty of Bhutto, how can he even be called a human being?
