Forbes.com has included Mian Mansha (owner of MCB Bank) into the list of billionaires. Mian Mansha comes at number 937 in the list.
This is a proud moment for Pakistan as it is the first time a Pakistani has been included in Forbes list.
This is an even bigger achievement for Mian Mansha who could make it to the list despite being harassed by President Asif Ali Zardari.
Recently, Zardari extorted Mian Mansha into paying approximately 5 billion rupees. He was threatened with his life.
Mian Mansha had to leave Pakistan for his safety.
Zardari also created hurdles into Mian Mansha'a plans of buying Royal Bank of Scotland. This move could have made him even more richer.
Zardari has bought out some union leaders of MCB Bank for black-mailing senior management of MCB.
This way Zardari expects to force Mian Mansha to sell the entire bank to him so Zardari could officially become the richest person of Pakistan.
Why is Zardari after Mian Mansha?
The reason is simple. Zardari, with all his stolen billions of dollars cannot be included in any rich list, not even in Pakistan. Because to be called a rich person, you need to earn money through legitimate means, otherwise you will be called a criminal like Zardari is called.
So despite having billions of dollars of wealth, taking over MCB Bank may be the only option for Zardari to be legally called a billionaire ...... lol.
